On 2 November 1844, Stephen McIntire hand wrote a notice to the Commonwealth of Kentucky notifying that he was bound to the final sum of $150 to be made to the Commonwealth and that there was no lawful cause to obstruct the marriage of Stephen McIntire to Elizabeth Buchanan, William’s daughter.  The note is signed by Stephen M McEntire and Jeremiah T Buchanan.

His children are listed as: Isaac T. Buchannan, Zerelda Pogue, Priscilla Vernon, William Buchanan, James Thomas Buchanan, Jeremiah T. Buchanan, Catharine McIntire, Sarah Overpeck McIntire, and Elizabeth B. This isn’t an awful lot of information on William. We’re in a generation that I don’t have a lot of information about right now but will be working hard to verify and clarify as I go. I do still have a little clean up to do on his profile in Ancestry as well. Some of the children need to be merged, for example.

As always, I will come back and update this page as I find additional information. If you happen to have information to share about William or his family, I’d love for you to leave it in the Comments section below so I can add it as well.

Until next time, take care and hug your loved ones!
