Documented History
According to a Bible Record, Thomas was born 1790 in Lincoln County, Kentucky. He was in the war of 1812 and bought many farming articles in 1818 from his father’s sale.
He married Polly Trowbridge on 6 March 1819 in Lincoln County, Kentucky.

There is an undated record for Thomas that seems to note the Will of Joseph F. & Frank T. Singleton but there are no other related details on the record.

Thomas died around 1830 in Orange County, Indiana. Polly was listed as his wife on the 1830 Census of Orange County, Indiana… which I have not yet found. But Polly married John Helpenstine in 1830 and then he died in 1832 followed shortly by Polly’s death in 1834 in the same county.

Thomas and Polly’s orphan children were scattered around. William P. was born 15 August 1821 and married Mahulda Johnson on 29 March 1844. Hunley was born 7 August 1823 and went to Daviess County, Indiana marrying Martha Veal at some point and dying on 13 June 1890.
Nancy married Victor Thomas Buchanan on 15 August 1846 and was in Robinson, Illinois at some point. She was born 28 May 1829 in Lincoln County, Kentucky. James, born 21 September 1819, went to Parks County, Indiana and Isaac Singleton was born 17 December 1826 but evidently died young as he was not mentioned as heir of his mother when she died in 1834.

William Singleton died on 10 November 1899 of Heart Failure due to Nephritis and a lacerated urethra. He was a farmer at the time in Odon, Madison Township, Daviess County, Indiana.
As always, I will come back and update this post as I find additional information for Thomas but I’d love if you shared what you know in the Comments section below.
Until next time,
~Kris
