Per the Bartholomew County, Indiana, Birth Records Index, 1882-1920, Margaret L Beyl was born 3 January 1913 to Edward Beyl and Edna M Applegate. Margaret was born at 2:40am, per Indiana, Birth Certificates, 1907-1940 to Edward Beyl and Edna M Applegate in Columbus, Indiana.

Edward was 25 and Edna was 19. Edward was a wood assembler at a factory. Edna was a housewife. Edward was born in Columbus, Indiana. Edna was born in Crothersville, Indiana. The family lived at 542 Jackson, Columbus, Indiana. Margaret was their first child.

MLB 1920 Census Record
According to the 1920 Federal Census, Margaret lived at 848 Prospect Street, Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana with her parents and siblings. Her dad, Edward Beyl, was 31 years old at the time. Edna, her mom, was 26. Her sister, Mildred was 6, Margaret was 6, and their brother Charles was 3 years and 8 months old. Edward was a Foreman at a Bakery at the time.

MLB 1930 Census Record
In 1930, according to the Federal Census, Margaret lived with her parents and siblings at 1329 East Street, Center Township, Marion County, Indiana. John was 43, Edna was 35, Margaret was 17, Mildred was 16, Charles was 13, and Mary Lou was 1 year old. John was a Dispenser at a Bakery Company. Margaret was a Saleslady at a Dry Goods Retail Store.

MLB 1940 Census Record
The 1940 United States Federal Census shows Margaret living with her husband, James Collins, and their two children at 1523 John Street, Whiting City, Indiana. Their daughter, Alice, was 1 year old at the time and their son, James, was 6 months old. The record shows Margaret living on a farm in 1935 in Vermillion, Indiana. James was a Fireman with an oil refinery and earned $1820.

MLB Death Certificate
Margaret passed away on 23 June 1985, according to Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899-2011. She was widowed when she passed and was 72 years old at the time. Her date of birth is confirmed as 3 January 1913. She died as an inpatient at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was listed as a housewife at 3721 E. Vermont Street.

Her father is listed as Edward Beyl. Her mother was Edna Applegate. Her son was the informant, listed as Joseph E. Collins. She was suffering from renal insufficiency, ventral abdominal hernia, insulin dependent diabetes mellitus, and congestive heart failure. Her cause of death is listed as a cerebral vascular accident.
